Volunteers

Acupuncturists
Acupuncturists are needed to treat patients at the centers from one day per week and one day per month.
– Gain additional experience treating many people for a wide variety of conditions
– Work closely with other acupuncturists to share ideas and improve your skills
– Occasionally work with guest Master acupuncturists and learn from their experience
– Attract more new patients to your practice by advertising your volunteer experience in your bio (patients love practitioners who are involved and give back!)

Support Staff
Support Staff help run the clinic while it is open and are generally needed between one day per week and twice per month.
– Add experience to your resume or fill in gaps between jobs
– Boost your college application with regular community service
– Observe how practitioners work and add that knowledge to your practice

Committee Members
Committee members are valuable in helping to steer the direction of the organization to continue its mission. We have three committees on which volunteers can serve. Committee members meet in person or virtually once per month. Volunteer committee members are encouraged to serve on a committee for at least one year.

Clinic Programs Committee
The Clinic Programs Committee helps oversee the clinical life of Changing Health. This team analyzes how clinics are functioning in terms of policies, priorities and initiatives in relation to the organization’s mission.
– Gain valuable experience in practice management and ethics
– Develop relationships with other acupuncturists and health care providers
– Attract more new patients to your practice by advertising your volunteer experience in your bio

Advancement Committee
The Advancement Committee helps the organization grow by pursuing different means of fundraising and reaching out to the public.
– Add experience to your resume or fill in gaps between jobs
– Network with other professionals and build relationships

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee oversees the financial planning of the organization on behalf of the Board of Directors. Volunteers are strongly encouraged to have experience in accounting, financial planning, and/or financial advising.
– Add experience to your resume or fill in gaps between jobs
– Network with other professionals and build relationships

Limited Time?
Any and every organization could always use extra hands to do all sorts of things, from helping to stuff envelops to selling 50/50 tickets at a fundraiser. If you want to help but cannot commit to any of the above opportunities, there is still room for you to volunteer.
